NANO WIRES : Bringing next generation semiconductors

Integrated circuits could be fabricated by combining atoms of semiconductor materials into NANO WIRES . Researchers in US have deviced a nano wire three dimensional transistor that could pave wave for exciting opportunities for integrating and developing new waves using semiconductors such as gallium nitride that cold be built on silicon substrate 

 

Ocean Electronics : Underwater Acoustic Communication

The search for the missing malaysian flight MH370 is going on for months even after it was found in the underwaters of Indian Ocean. Researchers are inspired from the days of Titanic to develop systems that communicate the happenings underwater to the land. More than 70% of Earth is Ocean and Ocean electronics deals with communication systems underwater. Underwater acoustics is widely expanding field in which the sensors could be used to capture the sound waves beneath the ocean. 

Oceans cover more than two-thirds of earth's surface but only 5% of oceans could be explored. European Union and USA have invested large amounts of money for exploration under oceans.

New implanted materials could be wrapped around tissues , the next generation computing and communciation technology. The electronic properties of the materials would be retained even though it is placed between the blood vessels and the nerves. 

 

National Conference on Latest Advancement in VLSI,Embedded Systems and Signal Processing : Ammini College of Engineering
